This role is crucial in ensuring food is delivered to guests promptly and in excellent condition, acting as a liaison between the kitchen and dining area. The position involves maintaining cleanliness, enhancing the guest experience, and working collaboratively with both kitchen and serving staff.   • Handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of hygiene and food handling protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to guests at the correct table.
  • Double-check orders for completeness and presentation before serving.
  • Assist in refilling drinks, clearing tables, and responding to guest requests.
  • Keep the dining area, service stations, and kitchen pass-through areas clean and organized.
  • Replenish plates, utensils, condiments, and other necessary items.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate guest requests to servers or kitchen staff.
  • Relay messages between the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests efficiently.
  • Report on any issues with food quality or service to the management team immediately.
  • Help with setting tables, polishing silverware, and keeping the workflow running smoothly.
  • Ensure food is presented according to the restaurant’s standards and in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Answer guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service, including addressing any questions regarding the menu or restaurant offers.
