About The Position

This role is responsible for reviewing work orders to determine the correct shape and size for cutting rugs. The primary focus is on ensuring the pattern/design of each fabricated rug is centered and balanced, requiring the ability to perform basic calculations and use a tape measure for marking. All measurements must be recalculated before cutting to ensure accuracy. Quality is paramount, as incorrect cuts result in unusable material and lost profits. The role also involves ensuring all equipment is used correctly and safely.

Requirements

• High School / GED
• Computer Experience required
• Ability to use AS400
• Ability to use Microsoft Word
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel
• Ability to lead by example

Responsibilities

• Review each work order paying very close attention to details for each order to determine the correct shape and size to cut the rug.
• Ensure the pattern/design of each fabricated rug is centered and balanced, with the main design element at the center.
• Calculate basic mathematics and use a tape measure to properly mark the rug for cutting.
• Recalculate all measurements before cutting to ensure accuracy.
• Apply correct measurements and make accurate cuts to maintain top quality.
• Ensure all equipment is used correctly and safely.
