CUTTER
About The Position
Students at our welding schools are provided with all the materials they need to hone their skills as they practice, practice, practice in our welding lab! Your primary role as Cutter will be to keep those materials flowing. The successful applicant will ensure that our welding students have access to all the consumables they need to help them successfully move through their program. You will cut pipe and plate coupons for our students to work with, distributing materials to them in an efficient manner to make sure they are prepared for class. You will ensure that the rod ovens are full, and that our students have all the consumables they need to participate fully in the welding lab.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Effective communication skills
Responsibilities
- Cut pipe/plate for students to use in the welding lab.
- Keep the rod ovens full.
- Pass material out to students.
- Ensure the cutting area is clean.
- Communicate with students and coworkers.
- Dump trash and scrap bins.
- Attendance at semi-annual graduation ceremonies is mandatory.
