About The Position
At Cadence, the RTL2GDS AE Architect is an expert Digital Implementation Field Applications Engineer who works side-by-side with leading-edge customers. The role helps customers deploy Cadence technologies in synthesis, place and route (P&R), and signoff to meet or exceed power, performance, and area (PPA) targets, achieve faster design closure, and realize their design concepts. The position also works directly with Cadence R&D to communicate customer requirements and influence the direction of next-generation products and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of hands-on industry experience in digital design and static timing analysis.
- Prior experience with IC digital implementation flows, including synthesis, place and route, IR drop, and timing signoff.
- Experience with Cadence tools such as Genus, Innovus, Conformal, Tempus, Modus, and Voltus, or with ICC, ICC2, DC, FC, and PrimeTime.
- Experience with advanced process nodes of 5nm and below.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, Python, or shell.
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and customer communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Explore and deploy the latest PPA methodologies and flows on next-generation customer designs.
- Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to success.
- Provide technical support to Cadence customers in backend digital design implementation and signoff.
- Guide customers in using Cadence technologies to achieve design goals and meet project schedules.
- Work closely with R&D to enhance tools and methodologies to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
- Translate customer requirements into tool solutions by working closely with R&D.
