About The Position

Packaging team members work in the Ready-To-Eat (RTE) area and directly handle cooked meat snacks as they are placed into their final packages. The role involves operating or learning production equipment, inspecting products for quality, packaging finished goods, and moving materials within the plant. Team members must follow client specifications and maintain quality standards. The position requires standing on hard surfaces for 10 hours and may involve stationary work, repetitive motion, cold environments, and lifting or moving items.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish.
Ability to be at work regularly and on time.
Ability to stand on hard surfaces for 10 hours.
Sufficient written communication and reading skills.
Ability to operate or quickly learn equipment.
Good time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to remain stationary during the shift and perform repetitive motion.
Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds across the plant.
Must wear required earplugs in production areas when noise levels are loud.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general equivalency degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Load and unload items from machines or conveyors.
Place individual packages into boxes for final packaging.
Use and move finished goods and materials with a pallet jack for further production packing or processing.
Strictly adhere to client specifications and ensure good quality work.
Perform other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change.
