About The Position

The Analyst, Recovery & Resolution Planning, will play a critical role in the development, maintenance, governance, and execution readiness of the firm's Recovery and Resolution Planning framework. This position supports compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and expectations while partnering across business lines, corporate functions, and legal entities to enhance the organization's resilience and preparedness during periods of financial stress. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the U.S. regulatory environment for large financial institutions, enterprise risk management practices, and complex financial institution organizational structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in recovery and resolution planning, enterprise risk management, regulatory affairs, financial resilience, corporate strategy, audit, consulting, or a related discipline within a large financial institution or consulting firm
  • Strong quantitative capability in liquidity cashflow modelling, funding concentration analysis, collateral/encumbrance metrics, and liquidity stress testing (survival horizon / sensitivity / breakpoint analysis)
  • Knowledge of the U.S. banking regulatory environment, including recovery and resolution planning requirements for financial institutions
  • Solid understanding of risk management frameworks, governance structures, and financial institution operations
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across multiple business and functional areas
  • Proven experience managing organizational change and driving cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while influencing stakeholders without direct authority
  • High level of attention to detail, judgment, and professional maturity
  • Proficient in Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot) and SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations and interactions with U.S. banking regulators
  • Knowledge of recovery indicators, stress scenarios, resolution strategies, legal entity rationalization, and operational continuity planning
  • Capital, liquidity, and/or operational resilience management experience
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Ability to automate repeatable MI and implement data quality controls
  • Experience working within a large, global, systemically important financial institution

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the firm's Recovery and Resolution Plans in accordance with applicable U.S. regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Implement regulatory requirements from agencies such as the Federal Reserve Board, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Collect, interpret and report on information collected from business units, risk management, finance, treasury, legal, operations, technology, and compliance teams to ensure recovery and resolution strategies remain current, credible, and executable
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for senior management committees and executive stakeholders
  • Conduct analysis of critical operations, core business lines, legal entity structures, and interdependencies to support recovery and resolution planning activities
  • Utilize Risk, Liquidity and/or Capital expertise and knowledge to assist in producing audit-ready MI for Treasury and senior governance forums
  • Use strong quantitative skills in stress/scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, liquidity/capital Management Information, and recovery indicator calibration, with ability to reconcile multi-source data and produce audit-ready, executive management and regulator-facing presentation materials
  • Assist in completing initiatives to address regulatory findings, internal audit observations, and program enhancement opportunities
  • Support the delivery of complex projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and regulatory commitments
  • Support recovery and resolution testing, simulation exercises, tabletop exercises, and scenario analyses
  • Assist in compilation of accurate and timely MI and Reporting to US Treasury and Recovery and Resolution Teams
