Maintenance Technician - Roving
About The Position
Indigo Real Estate is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented Roving Maintenance Technician who is driven to succeed. The role suits a highly organized, energetic self-starter who takes ownership of their work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate demonstrates sound judgment and urgency, strong communication and problem-solving skills, initiative, collaboration, and a strong work ethic, with care for cleanliness, efficiency, and accurate documentation. The physical aspects of the job include heavy lifting, carrying, transporting, and manipulating maintenance equipment and appliances; standing or walking for long periods; and bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and balancing. Some weekend and holiday work is required, along with on-call availability for emergencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
- Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance.
- Painting experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience.
- Perform preventative maintenance and apartment turns, including painting, diagnosing problems, and repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
- Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness and work with outside contractors as needed.
- Perform after-hours emergency maintenance as required.
