About The Position

The Routing/Mailing position is essential for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing, sorting, and distribution of mail and packages within an organization or for external delivery. This role involves managing routing schedules, coordinating with postal services and courier companies, and maintaining detailed records of all outgoing and incoming mail. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting communication flow and operational logistics by ensuring timely delivery and receipt of correspondence and shipments. Attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount to prevent delays and errors in mail handling. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth functioning of business operations by facilitating reliable and effective mail routing and distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of postal regulations and mailing procedures.
  • Ability to operate standard mailing and sorting equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, route, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and process bulk mailings, including labeling, packaging.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all mail transactions to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Coordinate with team to manage mail routing schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
  • Operate mailing equipment and ensure compliance with postal regulations and company policies.
