About The Position
The Route Sales Specialist provides route coverage in a CDL Class B position, delivering products, placing orders, and merchandising products to ensure they are available on grocery store shelves. The role also offers opportunities to develop leadership skills for potential advancement into leadership positions. The schedule is Monday through Friday with an early morning start, with some weekend travel required at times and up to 50% travel overall.
Requirements
- Previous DSD, grocery, delivery, or warehouse experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and ability to meet medical certification requirements.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Unload products, place products in the back room, and collect proof of delivery.
- Place orders, gain display space, and promote new products to drive additional sales.
- Merchandise products, maintain display space, and rotate products.
- Use handheld technology and sales software to complete daily work.
- Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow DOT rules and regulations and perform truck inspections.
