About The Position

The Route Sales Representative (RSR) manages a specific route in the wholesale baking and route distribution industry, delivering and selling products to established accounts. The role builds and maintains customer relationships and serves as a visible representative of Aunt Millie's when interacting with grocery store managers, receiving personnel, and other store staff. The position is full-time and based in Port Huron, Michigan, with base salary plus commission.

Requirements

Enjoy engaging with people and prefer an active role over desk work.
Strong driving skills.
Valid driver's license and a clean three-year driving record, subject to the stated disqualifying offenses and violation limits.
Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
At least 21 years old, as required by DOT regulations.
Ability to pass a drug screening.
Basic math skills for essential job tasks.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing accounts to foster customer loyalty.
Deliver and sell products to established accounts, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
Transport products from company vehicles to retail establishments and stock shelves.
Preplan and fulfill specific orders for each customer to maximize efficiency.
Use an iPad to manage route activities, including order tracking and customer communication.
Identify opportunities to generate additional business.
Implement strategies to minimize product expiration and maintain freshness.
Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
Follow safe work procedures to ensure personal and public safety.
Load and unload bread baskets throughout the day, following proper lifting and handling protocols.
