About The Position

The Route Sales Relief Delivery Driver safely transports and delivers products to customer accounts using a commercial vehicle on established routes. The role includes stocking and staging products, setting up merchandise displays, delivering promotional materials, verifying shipments, handling returns, and completing delivery and inventory documentation. The driver conducts required vehicle inspections, follows Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and company policies, assists with routine truck maintenance, and provides professional customer service. The position requires reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum age of 21 years.
Manual transmission experience; no automatic restrictions.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, perform basic math, and accurately record data.
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

Six months of verifiable experience driving a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle.
Experience in product delivery and customer service.
Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, and deliver products to customer accounts.
Drive a commercial vehicle along an established route to deliver, stock, and stage products.
Set up merchandise displays and deliver promotional materials to customers.
Verify shipment accuracy and ensure products are in salable condition.
Address and resolve discrepancies and customer complaints professionally.
Collect empty containers, rejected products, or unsold merchandise for return.
Complete daily inventory, order forms, delivery invoices, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
Conduct Motor Vehicle Inspections in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy, and assist with routine truck maintenance.
Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor with customers and coworkers.
Accurately maintain vehicle and hours-of-service logs as required by DOT.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
