About The Position

The Route Sales Driver safely operates a commercial motor vehicle over an established route to deliver and sell dairy products. The role stocks and rotates products, maintains customer displays, provides excellent customer service, and supports customer retention and sales growth. Drivers use a handheld computer to order products, calculate sales, and track inventory, and must comply with DOT regulations and company policies. The position requires maintaining the assigned truck and refrigerated box in clean condition.

Requirements

Possess a Class A or Class B CDL.
High school diploma, GED, or international education equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic operations with all units of measure.
Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and physical abilities test.
Be organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50–60 pounds; frequently lift milk cases up to 55 pounds and push or pull stacks of milk weighing 250–300 pounds using provided equipment.

Responsibilities

Deliver dairy products safely and on time to customers.
Provide excellent customer service to support customer retention and expand sales.
Stock and rotate products, and remove out-of-date, damaged, or unsellable products.
Maintain clean, fully stocked display areas for each customer.
Pick up empty milk crates.
Resolve discrepancies and minor customer issues, alerting management when necessary.
Use a handheld computer to order products, calculate sales, and track daily inventory.
Comply with DOT regulations and company policy, including required pre- and post-trip inspections and daily paperwork.
Keep the assigned truck clean and neat, including the cab and refrigerated box.
