About The Position

Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a full time Route Driver in the Bellevue, NE area. This route delivery position earns competitive pay and offers comprehensive full-time benefits, including full medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and vacation time. As a Route Driver, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from a broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors. Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, you will collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day. You will manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and keep an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of your truck, keeping it clean and completing a vehicle condition report daily. You will provide exceptional professional service to all customers and follow all laws and regulations. This role allows you to hit the road for a living while still being home every night. This full-time Class A CDL truck driving job also has the opportunity to work regular overtime.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized with superior time management skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work well with others

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting
  • Experience with truck hydraulics

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and transporting raw materials from customers back to facilities and transfer stations.
