About The Position

The Route Driver drives a company vehicle over an established route to deliver products or render services and fills and maintains vending and related equipment. The driver represents the company and is expected to project a professional, positive image while maintaining and building strong client and customer relationships. The role offers advancement opportunities and can provide a foundation for entry-level management positions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license, unless otherwise indicated by state, and ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
• Able to work independently and be responsible for a route while working unsupervised for 98% of the workday.

Nice To Haves

• Previous route driving and merchandising experience.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, or at least 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency with a handheld computer; training is provided.
• Ability or willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment, such as a box truck and handcarts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and distribute products for vending machines.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness at designated client locations.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance.
• Inform regular clients and customers about new products or services, and listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or provide sales promotion materials to customers.
• Account for goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
