Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A Route Truck Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for exercising safe and efficient practices when operating equipment, adhering to all federal and state driving regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring timely moves and service to customers and the team. Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A
  • 22 years of age with a satisfactory MVR driving record.
  • Current DOT Physical and Medical Card, knowledge of applicable federal, state, and industry truck driving rules and regulations on public roads and private properties.
  • Ability to handle long hours and adapt to various weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as getting in and out of the truck multiple times throughout your shift, lifting, loading, and staking tires on a regular basis.
  • Must meet all FMCSA driver qualification requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience as a class A CDL driver but willing to train.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all CDL/DOT regulations and Liberty Tire Recycling guidelines.
  • Service customers in a timely and safe manner with a focus on great customer service.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety. Report any and all deficiencies to your Dispatch Manager.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and industry regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling of equipment and tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize loads. Lacing tires is required which the candidate must be able to lift 25-50 pounds on a routine basis and in some cases 75 pounds + with assistance.
  • Communicate and work effectively with dispatchers, customers, team members and/or third-party vendors working in the designated area.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and any incidents.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings through Teams.
