About The Position

This position is for a relief route Local Delivery Driver, filling in for other delivery drivers who are unavailable due to vacation, illness, or other reasons. The routes for the relief driver typically change day to day. The role involves delivering products to various customers, including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, and drug stores, across a wide variety of weather conditions. The driver is responsible for operating the delivery vehicle, unloading products, and bringing them into the store. Key tasks include ongoing rotating and stocking of products on store shelves, displays, vending equipment, and in coolers. The driver will also build small displays and set up promotional materials like pricing signs and banners. Administrative duties include generating invoices and daily settlement of cash and charges. The position requires frequent interaction with store management. This is a labor-intensive role, involving repeated lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases ranging from 20-45 pounds, as well as reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering and merchandising products.

Requirements

21 years or older
Valid U.S. CDL or Valid U.S. CDL Permit CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
Pass the required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable)
Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening
