The HS ROTC Instructor is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will enable them to excel in a global society. This role involves meeting and instructing assigned classes, planning a program of study tailored to individual student needs, and creating a conducive learning environment. The instructor must prepare lessons, encourage student behavior standards, and guide the learning process towards curriculum goals. They will employ various instructional techniques, assess student accomplishments, diagnose learning disabilities, and ensure student safety. Additionally, the instructor will maintain accurate records, assist administration with policies, and be available for parent and student consultations. Planning and supervising assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, maintaining professional competence, and attending staff meetings are also key duties. Demonstrating the ability to communicate in more than one language or willingness to learn is required. The position is 1.0 FTE, certified, and paid based on verified education and experience.
