To help students learn subject matter and skills that will enable them to excel in a global society. This role involves meeting and instructing assigned classes, planning a program of study that meets individual student needs, and creating a classroom environment conducive to learning. The instructor will prepare for classes, encourage student behavior standards, and guide the learning process toward curriculum goals with clear objectives. Various instructional techniques and media will be employed, consistent with the resources available and student capabilities. The instructor will strive to implement the district’s philosophy of education, assess student accomplishments regularly, and provide progress reports. Diagnosing learning disabilities and seeking assistance from specialists are also key functions. The role requires making necessary precautions to protect students and equipment, maintaining accurate records, and assisting administration with policies and rules governing student life. Developing classroom behavior rules and maintaining order are essential. The instructor will be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required, and will plan and supervise assignments for instructional teacher aides and volunteers. Continuous professional competence improvement is expected, along with attending staff meetings and serving on committees. The ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn is also a requirement. Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
