About The Position

The Rotational Operations Intern will collaborate with operations professionals and gain practical experience in specialized groups within Stifel’s operations division. The internship provides exposure to operational processes, develops analytical skills, and offers insight into the daily functions that support client services and business activity. The intern will learn basic functions across departments, contribute to team and process-improvement work, maintain account documentation, and assist with advisor inquiries under direct supervision.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong interest in operational business and a desire to gain practical experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of the securities and/or financial services industry, or ability to learn and operate within regulatory frameworks.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Completed coursework or experience in operations, accounting, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic job functions and responsibilities across various departments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business functions within operations.
• Support operations teams in monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Participate in projects to improve operational efficiency and the advisor and/or client experience.
• Research and analyze operational processes and industry trends to contribute to process improvements and identify potential risks.
• Maintain accurate documentation for individual account records in operational systems as needed.
• Assist with advisor inquiries under direct supervision.
• Build relationships across departments to understand how workflows connect.
• Complete other projects as assigned.
