About The Position

The Rotary Die Cutter Operator is responsible for operating a rotary die cutter machine, ensuring safe and efficient operation at safe speeds. This role involves setting up the machine according to procedures, maintaining quality standards, and performing die cutting, joining, printing, and sheet scoring tasks. The operator will also be responsible for adding/removing machine parts, utilizing tools like wrenches, and carrying out additional tasks assigned by supervisors to support production goals. Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the corrugated or converting industry.

Responsibilities

Operate the rotary die cutter machine at safe speeds, understanding its capabilities and limitations.
Perform machine set-up procedures.
Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards, detecting, preventing, and resolving quality issues.
Perform die cutting tasks including cut to print register, elimination of score cracking, cutting, and stripping.
Perform joining tasks including square folding, automatic bottoms, gap control, and adhesion.
Ensure printing quality including coverage, registration, crush, sharpness, and viscosity.
Perform sheet scoring, ensuring dimensions and score quality.
Perform set up duties as assigned, adding/removing machine parts by hand and utilizing wrenches.
Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support production goals.
Work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
