About The Position

The Rotary Die Cutter Operator is responsible for operating a die-cutting machine to produce high-quality products according to company standards. This includes understanding machine capabilities and limitations, performing set-up procedures, and ensuring quality in die cutting, joining, printing, and sheet scoring. The role requires the ability to detect, prevent, and resolve quality issues, working with management when necessary. The operator will also be responsible for adding/removing machine parts and supporting production goals through assigned tasks. Applicants must be willing to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or GED) is required.
  • One to two years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machine at safe speeds, understanding its capabilities and limitations.
  • Perform set-up procedures for the die-cutting machine.
  • Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards.
  • Detect, prevent, and resolve quality issues, involving management for resolution or confirmation of quality expectations.
  • Perform die cutting tasks including cut to print register, elimination of score cracking, cutting, and stripping.
  • Perform joining tasks including square folding, automatic bottoms, gap control, and adhesion.
  • Ensure quality in printing, including coverage, registration, crush, sharpness, and viscosity.
  • Ensure quality in sheet scoring, including dimensions and score quality.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support production goals.
  • Add/remove machine parts by hand, utilizing wrenches, as needed.
