About The Position

Bridgeway, Inc. is seeking a skilled and mission-driven ROSC Coordinator to join its Community Initiatives Team. This full-time position builds, facilitates, and maintains a coordinated network of community-based services and supports designed to enhance health, wellness, and quality of life for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of substance use and co-occurring conditions across a four-county service area in west-central Illinois. Bridgeway, Inc. is a comprehensive human services organization and a federally designated Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Henry Counties in west-central Illinois. As a CCBHC, Bridgeway operates at the leading edge of integrated behavioral health — delivering person-centered, recovery-oriented care across a full continuum that includes outpatient therapy, crisis services, substance use treatment, psychiatric services, and community support. The ROSC Coordinator operates as part of Bridgeway’s recovery support continuum, serving as the lead staff organizer for the West Central Illinois Recovery Oriented System of Care (WCI ROSC) Council. This role acts as a grassroots community organizer—bringing together individuals in recovery, local hospitals, primary care providers, mental health professionals, law enforcement, and local business owners to build a permanent, stigma-free community infrastructure that supports multiple pathways to long-term recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, or a closely related human services field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma/GED combined with 1–2 years of community organizing, peer recovery support, or behavioral health advocacy work).
• Valid Illinois driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and a good driving record for regular fieldwork across Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Henry counties.
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend community engagement events and council assignments.

Nice To Haves

• In full alignment with IDHS/SUPR grant objectives, personal lived experience with successful recovery from a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring condition is highly valued and strongly considered.
• Experience in grassroots community outreach, coalition building, public speaking, public relations, or group facilitation preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, manage multi-layered project timelines, and document grant-related metrics systematically.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and grow the local WCI ROSC Council, ensuring active representation across diverse community stakeholder sectors, including healthcare, legal systems, education, housing, and social services.
• Coordinate and facilitate mandatory monthly council meetings, ensuring compliant development of meeting agendas, detailed meeting minutes, and attendance tracking for official state data submission.
• Administer and analyze the annual IDHS/SUPR Community Survey to a representative regional sample to assess local experiences regarding stigma, harm reduction, equity, and service delivery.
• Compile, categorize, and permanently update a comprehensive local Community Resource List identifying all regional substance use, mental health, harm reduction, housing, medical, and public assets.
• Collaborate with council members and stakeholders to design and execute a data-driven 3-Year Strategic Plan and detailed 12-month action plans to address 2 to 3 primary community recovery challenges.
• Deliver community-level public education and outreach presentations focused on reducing stigma, promoting Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR), advancing harm reduction strategies, and prioritizing health equity.
• Actively engage and fully participate in monthly Learning Collaborative meetings, regional Technical Assistance sessions, and mandatory professional development courses hosted by the Statewide ROSC Leadership Center (SRLC).
• Maintain and update the coalition's public website, resource index, and community event calendar monthly via the state's centralized ROSC HUB platform.
• Coordinate care linkages and warm handoffs to ongoing community behavioral health services while completing required quarterly performance reports (PPRs) accurately and on time.
