This position involves assisting staff with problem payments, following up with guests on satisfaction, processing check-ins, handling various payment types, setting up guest accounts accurately, anticipating sold-out situations and finding alternative accommodations, blocking rooms, coordinating with departments like Bellperson and Housekeeping to resolve guest issues, tracking room readiness, reviewing shift logs, and managing bank counts and dropping receipts according to accounting specifications. Additionally, the role assists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. It also requires reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, completing safety training, adhering to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, anticipating and addressing guest needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and developing positive working relationships.
