About The Position

Serves meals to guests in their rooms by performing various duties related to order taking, delivery, and service. This role involves interacting with guests, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area. The position requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age, as required by law.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License in order to drive a company vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work varied hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work well as an individual and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to answer a multi-line phone and properly record and deliver guest orders.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.

Nice To Haves

  • MICROS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Takes room service orders over the telephone and relays orders to the kitchen.
  • Carries silverware, linen, and food on a tray or uses a serving cart to transport orders to rooms.
  • Sets up tables and serves food from the cart.
  • Answers questions regarding room service and responds to requests for additional food or drink service.
  • Collects or stacks dirty dishes on trays, tables, or serving carts and removes them from rooms or retrieves them from halls.
  • Provides quality products, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere for all guests.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures.
  • Checks all stations and supplies for cleanliness.
  • Stocks necessary supplies and set-ups.
  • Describes specials to customers and takes food orders over the phone.
  • Accurately records room number, guest name, and number of guests to be served.
  • Delivers food and beverage orders to guest rooms.
  • Operates the MICROS Computer System.
  • Completes all tray pick-ups in each area of the resort complex.
  • Orders, checks, and sets up amenities and follows procedures for their delivery and logging.
  • Completes all end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Maintains proper sanitation, safety procedures, and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Follows all policies and procedures outlined by the Manager and employee handbook.
  • Assumes all responsibilities as delegated by the Manager and performs other duties to fulfill customer needs and requests.
  • Attends all mandatory meetings.
  • Acts as an extension of the security department in protecting the assets of the hotel and all guests by observing any questionable activities.
  • Understands and abides by environmental practices of the resort.
  • Maintains Resort-issued bank for cashiering.
  • Drives company vehicle to deliver orders to guests outside of the immediate hotel/tower building.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
