About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and serve meals to meet residents’ nutritional needs; to assist residents with meal set-up; and to properly sanitize after meal service. Immanuel Living is a not-for-profit, Life Plan Community located in Kalispell, MT. We offer residents resort-style amenities, numerous healthy lifestyle options, and a breathtaking location in the Flathead Valley near Glacier National Park. Home to 300 older adults, our community includes independent villa apartments, assisted living and memory support residences, post-acute rehab, long-term care residences, multiple dining rooms, a fitness center, art studio, and more. Immanuel Living is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and is committed to providing a faith-based environment while maintaining a reputation for quality and innovation in senior living.
Requirements
- Completion of Serve Safe™ program upon entry into this position
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with residents, customers, and coworkers
- Ability to learn new tasks and apply them to serving others

Responsibilities
- Possess a high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene
- Assist in serving of meals and loading of food carts
- Assist in preparation of various desserts, salads, peeling vegetables, etc.
- Assist in washing dishes, pots and pans, while following good cleaning procedures
- Assist in dining area set-up and tray assembly
- Perform cleaning duties in kitchen and dining rooms, on equipment, dishwashing area, etc.
- Deliver food and snack carts to various areas within the building
- Assist with food and supply receiving and storage, as assigned
- Obtain food and supplies from storeroom, as needed
- Able and willing to work all positions with department, excluding cook and management
- Perform other duties as assigned
