The Room Service Supervisor holds a supervisory role that focuses on supporting the room service team as well as overseeing the sequence of service events. He/She participates in leading a team so that they work in an ideal environment, respecting the rules of hygiene, the quality criteria, the Four Seasons standards and all the collaborators. This requires a good team spirit, a refined, elegant, warm personality who will be able to supervise and manage the people under his responsibility and who will also be able to show empathy and generosity to the customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English and French, both orally and in writing; an intermediate level of English is required to provide professional service to international customers, understand their specific requests, and respond effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong team spirit.
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to our internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Good interpersonal skills to meet the expectations of a high-end clientele.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a mature manner and with integrity at all times, including outside performances.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Standing/walking, squatting, kneeling multiple times throughout the day.
  • Carrying, moving loads of varying weight while following proper gestures and postures.
  • Be organized, meticulous and resourceful.
  • Creative and self-starter.
  • Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar position an asset.
  • College diploma in hotel management or related field an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all guests receive service in compliance with the standards established by management.
  • Work closely with the management team and assistant managers to maintain high standards of hygiene, service, and presentation.
  • Promote cooperation among all departments, especially with the kitchen.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance for yourself and the team, in line with hotel standards.
  • Monitor equipment and setup, ensuring overall cleanliness in dining areas.
  • Organize and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Supervise service operations continuously, taking prompt and appropriate action to correct any deficiencies.
  • Handle financial transactions accurately while adhering to security protocols.
  • Ensure strong knowledge of operational systems (e.g., Micros) and emergency procedures to assist guests.
  • Assess guest needs promptly, remain calm in unusual situations, and handle complaints and feedback effectively.
  • Project a positive, professional, and friendly image, while maintaining effective communication within the team.
  • Contribute to menu updates, development of new ideas, and guest awareness of available services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards, including strict control of master keys.
  • Perform quality checks for VIP services, monitor floors for tray collection, and uphold service standards.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by management, supporting staff training and professional growth.
