The Room Service Server will deliver food orders, including any special needs or requests, to the guest in-room. They will check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. The server will greet guests, describe selected items using vivid descriptions of their origin, taste, and preparation methods, and communicate options for removal of trays and dishware. They will respond to requests for tray removal according to established time standards. Responsibilities also include breaking down, cleaning, and setting up room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations. The server will anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. They will properly and accurately close guest checks, securing room number and signature, and properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
