About The Position

The role of the Room Service Coordinator is to take guest in-room dining orders, communicate special requests to the kitchen, and coordinate the delivery of orders according to Four Seasons Standards. This involves answering the telephone with courteous and efficient etiquette, obtaining all necessary information to process guest orders, and describing menu items with vivid details about their origin, taste, and preparation. The coordinator will communicate guest orders, including special needs, to the kitchen via the hotel's point-of-sales system, verify completed kitchen orders against the original order, and ensure timely delivery of items to guestrooms by Room Service Servers to maintain food quality. Additionally, the role requires accurately closing guest checks, recording charges and gratuities, anticipating guest needs, ensuring satisfaction, offering suggestions, and responding promptly and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. The coordinator will also manage amenity deliveries, ensuring all requests are received, filed, ordered from the kitchen, and delivered promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Take guest in-room dining orders.
  • Communicate special requests to the kitchen.
  • Coordinate delivery of orders according to Four Seasons Standards.
  • Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette.
  • Obtain all information necessary to process the guest’s order according to Four Seasons Standards.
  • Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system.
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order.
  • Coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks.
  • Record guest charges and gratuities.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Coordinate amenity deliver by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.
