The Room Service Assistant delivers appropriate room service menus to patients, instructing them on meal ordering systems and assessing their ability to utilize the system. Key responsibilities include effective communication with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians, and call center staff, using computerized diet sheets, accessing patient computer systems, and retrieving completed meals. The role also involves recording intake and calorie count information, maintaining compliance with HACCP guidelines, and processing meal orders over the telephone while verifying diet order parameters. The position requires excellent customer service, listening skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships.
