About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, recording, and expediting all Room Service orders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction, and the achievement of IHR standards while maximizing profit. This position involves direct interaction with guests, kitchen staff, and delivery personnel to ensure a seamless room service experience.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Communication and hospitality skills.
• Ability to speak in a language understood by guests and coworkers.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal, cash register and multi-line telephone system.

Responsibilities

• Take all room service orders, communicating daily specials, estimated time of arrival, and cash/charge policies to ensure top-quality customer service.
• Expedite orders to kitchen staff and assign room service orders for delivery to staff.
• Process guest checks and handle all cash responsibilities in accordance with IHC policies and procedures.
• Complete all shift side work as outlined in the hotel's operating policies and procedures.
• Respond to customer needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales.
• Report all communications to the immediate shift supervisor.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
• Participate in task forces and/or committees as required.
