About The Position

The Loom Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island, is hiring a Room Attendant to prepare clean, comfortable, safe, and welcoming guest rooms. The role focuses on making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing towels, toiletries, and other amenities. Room Attendants follow hotel standards and procedures, organize assignments, and complete rooms efficiently without compromising quality. The position also includes restocking and organizing the housekeeping cart, responding courteously to guest requests, communicating room status and issues, and protecting guests’ belongings, privacy, and confidential information. Room Attendants follow procedures for occupied, vacant, and stayover rooms and special requests, and may help clean hallways, public spaces, storage areas, and other hotel areas as needed. They work independently while supporting the Housekeeping team and coordinating with other hotel departments. The job requires physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and handling linens, supplies, trash, equipment, and furnishings. Employees may need to lift or move up to 40 pounds frequently and push or pull a fully stocked housekeeping cart. Work takes place in guest rooms and other hotel spaces, and may involve dust, cleaning products, varying temperatures, and repetitive activity. Flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays, may be scheduled based on business needs.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull linens, supplies, trash, cleaning equipment, and guestroom furnishings; lift or move up to 40 pounds frequently; and push and pull a fully stocked housekeeping cart.
Ability to make beds and clean guest rooms within established productivity and quality standards.
Ability to work around dust, cleaning products, varying temperatures, and repetitive physical activity.
Ability to maintain professionalism and attention to detail in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous housekeeping, professional cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
Full-service, boutique, or lifestyle hotel experience is a plus.
Knowledge of guestroom cleaning standards and safe cleaning procedures preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Restock and maintain a clean, organized housekeeping cart and supplies.
Respond courteously to guest requests.
Promptly communicate room status, maintenance needs, lost-and-found items, damages, and safety concerns.
Protect guest belongings, privacy, and confidential information.
Help clean hallways, public spaces, storage areas, and other hotel areas when needed.
Support fellow Curators when the hotel is busy or priorities change.
Apply care to room finishing touches and maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
