The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas to ensure total guest satisfaction. The RA delivers on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. They respond to guest complaints and special requests, ensuring corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. The RA cleans and services assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash. They notify the supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied and report any room unable to be serviced to the supervisor. The RA minimizes waste of supplies and amenities, may assist with deep cleaning projects, and reports needed repairs or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. They handle all lost and found items according to established procedures, promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services. The RA performs other duties as assigned.
