Room Attendant - Housekeeper

About The Position

Clean and maintain guest rooms to ensure they meet established standards. The role includes greeting guests warmly, completing room cleaning within allotted time frames, replacing linens and amenities, and supporting guest satisfaction. Room Attendants may also perform house person and lobby attendant duties when staffing is short or during peak periods, and perform other duties as requested by management. The work schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends. The role requires extended periods of standing and includes walking, pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 20 pounds, and using cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training is required.
Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting.
Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls, or equipment.
Notify managers when guest rooms need repairs.
Process guest items left in rooms according to the lost and found policy.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
