About The Position

The Room Attendant cleans and maintains guest rooms to ensure they meet established standards. The role includes providing friendly guest interactions, completing room cleaning within allotted time frames, and supporting guest satisfaction. When staffing is short or during peak periods, the attendant may also perform house person and lobby attendant duties. The stated growth path is Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, and Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training is required.
Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and in a friendly manner.
Clean guest rooms to established standards within the allotted time frame, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, and dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
Notify managers when guest rooms need repairs.
Process guest items left in rooms according to the lost and found policy.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
