About The Position

Barrington Housekeeping is seeking a Room Attendant to join their team at the Barrington Hotel in Halifax. The Room Attendant will be responsible for maintaining guest room cleanliness, creating a great first impression, and providing personalized service to ensure guest satisfaction. Requirements

Ability to work different shifts including weekends.
Motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows, and hands (below waist and overhead movement) as well as use various cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

Cleaning all assigned guest rooms to hotel standards, including bathrooms, changing sheets, making beds, dusting, and vacuuming.
Reporting any damage to flooring surfaces, carpets, and upholsteries.
Ensuring the use of cleaning chemicals is according to hotel instructions.
Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of cleaning equipment.
Reporting any unusual or suspicious behavior of guests or staff.
Conducting duties in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures, ensuring the highest level of service and communication.
Complying with all hotel standards and procedures.
Actively promoting a courteous work environment for guests and associates.
Ensuring compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
Performing other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.
