About The Position
This position is for a Housekeeping Room attendant at the Delta by Marriott Utica Downtown, located at 200 Genesee Street. Associates can earn bonus incentives in addition to regular pay for room cleaning. This is a full-service hotel with a restaurant onsite and offers discount food pricing for employees. Marriott provides an employee travel discount to stay at other Marriott properties worldwide. This position is first shift, working from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, or until room assignments are completed.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
Responsibilities
- Change bed linen daily.
- Vacuum carpeting.
- Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).
- Remove fingerprints and smudges (ex. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc).
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area - wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.
- Take responsibility for the pass key and make sure it is turned in daily.
- Turn in immediately all "lost and found" items to Executive Housekeeper.
- Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving the room.
- Assist housekeepers in any additional cleaning chores she may assign.
