About The Position

The Room Attendant performs cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner. The role includes making beds; replenishing linens and cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls; vacuuming; and keeping the housekeeping cart clean, neat, and stocked. Associates must meet brand-standard room cleaning times and work within recognized time frames. Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality, respectful and positive teamwork, and completing other assigned duties, including cross-training, are essential. Associates are paid weekly.

Requirements

Prior housekeeping experience is helpful.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Ability to manage time and prioritize work effectively.
Ability to communicate with guests, management, and team members.
Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety procedures.
Ability to meet productivity standards.
Lift and carry an average weight of 20 pounds frequently and a maximum weight of 50 pounds frequently.
Push and pull an average weight of 50 pounds frequently and a maximum weight of 150 pounds.
Stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
Reach and extend overhead to pull items down; perform repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.

Responsibilities

Make beds, replenish linens, clean rooms and bathrooms, and vacuum.
Clean halls.
Load and unload the housekeeping cart with supplies, replace cleaning supplies, and keep the cart clean, neat, and stocked.
Report problems and needed maintenance repairs.
Communicate room status, work progress, guest requests, and problems to the supervisor.
Record and turn in lost-and-found items.
Immediately report unsafe conditions.
Complete other assigned duties, including cross-training.
Meet brand-standard cleaning times and work within time frames appropriate to each task.
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety procedures while meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
