About The Position

Lancer Scott is seeking a Roofing Assistant to cover the Cambridge area, providing a comprehensive roofing maintenance service on a range of different spaces. The role involves meeting client expectations for quality, cost, and speed of service. The Roofing Assistant will support the Roofing Technician with planned and reactive maintenance on various roofing tasks as instructed by the Contract Support Team. This role requires providing labouring and basic maintenance skills as directed, giving input when assessing damage and spotting leaks, and helping to create waterproof seals. The assistant will ensure patterns are evenly cut and structurally sound, use hand and power tools to accurately install materials like slates, tiles, and waterproof membranes, and assist with repairs on wood structures including timbers and framing. Updating the job log with notes and uploading relevant documentation is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Proven ability and experience working in general Labouring role.
• High levels of stamina, strength, and flexibility are required for constant bending, kneeling, and lifting.
• Able to work successfully with team members, contractors, end client and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and good problem solving skills.
• Comfortable working with different systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Full Driving Licence

Nice To Haves

• Some carpentry and joinery skills with good hand eye coordination is useful.

Responsibilities
