The role As a hands-on electro-mechanical professional, you will support a wide range of assembly and installation tasks to build electrical control racks, wire harnesses, and related sub-assemblies for passenger rail vehicles in a dynamic, high-energy production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Background in electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service work.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal) at a basic level.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with reading blueprints, diagrams, and parts lists is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble units within passenger coaches, including roofs, cable harnesses, mounted components, electrical racks, panels, air-supply racks, and piping assemblies.
  • Terminate and connect wires to components, connectors, terminals, and designated contact points.
  • Measure and cut wire to length; route, twist, wrap, tie, and secure to terminal points for clean, reliable layouts.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble parts and sub-assemblies as needed.
  • Interpret production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts/wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Use fine motor skills to handle and assemble small components with excellent dexterity.
