About The Position

Join Lockheed Martin Space as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in King of Prussia, PA. You will build, assemble, modify, and test flight and ground support hardware. This role involves hands-on fabrication work, troubleshooting assemblies, and supporting engineering and quality teams to ensure reliable, high-quality aerospace hardware. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on mechanical or electromechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring lists, and detailed work instructions.
  • Experience performing mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and rework of components or subassemblies.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to complete required certifications (including soldering, cable/harness, and bonding/polymers training).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bonding, soldering, polymerics, or cable and harness fabrication.
  • Familiarity with precision hand tools, drilling, fixtures, or mechanical fabrication processes.
  • Exposure to avionics boxes, ground support equipment, or similar hardware builds.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems such as SAP or similar tools.
  • Prior experience in a regulated or aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembly of flight and ground support hardware.
  • Fabricate, bond, solder, and assemble components following detailed work instructions.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and test prototype and production assemblies.
  • Read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly tasks with precision.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to identify issues and support corrective actions.
  • Evaluate new processes and help identify production or assembly problems.
  • Maintain adherence to training and safety standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Support shift-based production schedules, including overtime as needed.
