About The Position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems used in manufacturing equipment. This role ensures production machinery operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime by performing preventative maintenance and responding quickly to equipment failures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and automation equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Follow plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
