Your greatest work is ahead! Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing Platform Integration Facility (PIF) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will thrive in learning environments that encourage leadership and technical growth. Experienced individual will work closely with a team of engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements. Selected candidate will bring a diverse set of skills and an aptitude for solving complex problems. You will interpret drawings and use critical thinking to not only build and fabricate production and prototype hardware, as well as test and deploy the hardware. This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment or related experience and/or training.
  • Experience reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience building and installing electrical and/or mechanical assemblies.
  • Familiar with basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and wire crimping tools.
  • Ability to perform cable fabrication work.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and demonstrate a good work ethic and responsibility.
  • Good communication skills, working well on a team with diverse skillsets, working in a production environment, and a willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful.
  • Candidate must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama area.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

  • IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of drawings, using critical thinking, not only building and fabricating production hardware, but test and deploy as well.
