Rolling Mill Operations Engineering Intern
About The Position
Metallus is seeking a Rolling Mill Operations Engineering Intern for their Summer 2027 program. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in process improvement and project completion within the rolling mill environment. Interns will work closely with the rolling mill team and planners/schedulers on repair projects. The program emphasizes skill development, leadership growth, networking opportunities, and career readiness through workshops and real-world experience. Metallus has a legacy of over a century as an industry leader in manufacturing clean steel for various markets.
Requirements
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related
Responsibilities
- Work on process improvement opportunities in the rolling mill.
- Work with the rolling mill team on an assigned rolling mill project that can be seen through completion.
- Work with planners/schedulers on repair projects.
