About The Position

The Broadloom Inspection table roll up operator reports to the Broadloom Inspection Table supervisor. The inspection table roll up operator is responsible for wrapping and labeling each roll that is ran across the table.

Requirements

  • Must keep safety in mind at all times.
  • Must obey all safety guides.
  • Hands (or any other body part) should not be placed in or on any part of the roll up or the roll up table.
  • If at anytime the roll up operator has a question about safety they should speak with the inspection table supervisor immediately.
  • If at anytime there is an issue at the roll up end of the table that cannot be seen from the inspectors position the roll up operator should notify the operator and inspector both verbally and physically by raising their hand and saying, “Time Out”.
  • If a roll is not rolled properly then they should have the roll sent back to the front of the table to be re rolled.

Responsibilities

  • Wrapping and labeling each roll that is ran across the table.
  • Placing the correct size core into the roll up.
  • Ensuring that all rolls are rolled straight and tight.
  • Properly and securely wrapping the roll.
  • Making sure that the correct roll tag or shipping label is affixed to the correct roll.
  • Checking all rolls for quality and color accuracy and notifying the appropriate people if a quality issue is found.
  • Performing daily maintenance and cleaning on the machines.
  • Running/measuring a test roll to ensure that the table measuring device is accurate.
  • Cleaning out the machine each day and reporting any issues to the Broadloom inspection table supervisor.
