About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is hiring a Roll-Off Truck Driver with a Class A or B CDL. The position involves safely operating a roll-off truck to deliver and remove containers at customer locations and transport waste and recycling materials. Drivers complete vehicle inspections and DOT paperwork and follow DOT, OSHA, company safety standards, and local traffic laws. Drivers must keep the truck compliant with applicable safety standards before and during operation. Routes may involve congested communities and confined or tight city locations, requiring skilled backing maneuvers. Drivers routinely climb in and out of the cab to service customer accounts and perform pre- and post-trip inspections. Other duties may be assigned, requested, or required.

Requirements

Valid Class A or B CDL.
Air Brake Endorsement.
At least 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years.
Clean driving record and strong safety focus.
At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, move and maneuver up to 100 pounds, and mount and dismount the truck multiple times per route.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a roll-off truck.
Deliver and remove containers at customer locations.
Transport waste and recycling materials.
Complete vehicle inspections and DOT paperwork.
Follow DOT, OSHA, company safety standards, and local traffic laws.
Ensure the truck meets IWS safety standards and applicable OSHA and DOT regulations before and while operating it.
Perform skilled backing maneuvers in congested or confined locations.
Climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
Perform driver pre- and post-trip inspections.
Perform other duties as necessary, assigned, requested, or required.
