About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is hiring a Roll-Off Truck Driver with a Class A or B CDL. The role involves safely operating a roll-off truck to deliver and remove containers at customer locations and transport waste and recycling materials. Drivers work routes that may include congested communities and confined or tight areas in cities, where skilled backing maneuvers are essential. Drivers climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts and must conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, complete DOT paperwork, and ensure the truck meets company, OSHA, DOT, and local traffic safety requirements before and during operation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 a.m. start time. Drivers are home daily. The position offers stable, year-round work, union benefits, competitive starting pay, and advancement opportunities. Pay starts at $27.28 per hour and increases after six months.

Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL).
Air Brake Endorsement.
At least 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years.
Clean driving record and strong safety focus.
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and move and maneuver up to 100 pounds.
Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times per route.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a roll-off truck.
Deliver and remove containers at customer locations.
Transport waste and recycling materials.
Complete vehicle inspections and DOT paperwork.
Follow DOT, OSHA, company safety standards, and local traffic laws.
Ensure the truck complies with IWS, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements before and while operating it.

Climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
