About The Position

Nucor Steel – Jackson is seeking an electrician to promote safety as the company’s top value while ensuring consistency and reliability in mill operations. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and find solutions for safety, quality, and production processes, and will initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and automation equipment, as well as improving mill reliability.

Requirements

At least 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC software and hardware.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or greater in electrical technology or a similar program.
ABB AC/DC drive experience.
Function Block programming language experience.
Familiarity with or prior training in NFPA70e Electrical Safety.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic controls.
Overhead crane maintenance experience.
Medium-voltage switchgear experience.
