About The Position

This role involves assisting in the operation of lift/reach trucks, performing housekeeping duties in the work area, and safely moving materials. The driver will operate a forklift/roll clamp truck to transport materials, load, transport, and unload materials, and communicate any non-compliance or quality issues to their supervisor. The position requires the ability to read and understand material labels and work orders, and to comply with safety rules and training requirements.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Climbing ladders and/or stairways.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet and beard net (if applicable)).
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.

• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of lift/reach trucks.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, keeping forklift/reach truck clean, and disposing of trash.
• Collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
• Safely move material to and from storage, machines and finished goods areas.
• Operate forklift/roll clamp truck to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment.
• Load, transport, unload and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor.
• Read and understand material labels and work orders.
• Comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Comply with forklift and roll clamp truck training.
