The Clamp Truck Operator is responsible for unloading and inspecting roll stock, labeling each roll, and setting aside damaged stock. The operator will ensure bills of lading are signed, place roll stock into inventory, and manage paper rotation on a FIFO basis. They will organize rolls by grade and width, ensuring smaller butts are placed first. The operator will check the schedule for upcoming orders, bring paper to the machine at the correct station and position, and service the butt roll discharge area. Additionally, the operator must report any mechanical problems to the shift supervisor, follow safety procedures, keep the warehouse neat and orderly, and inspect equipment before use, including locking dock locks and ensuring tandems are in the correct position. The operator must wear all necessary PPE and may be required to lift up to 50lbs during the shift.
