About The Position

The Robotics Vision Engineer configures and supports vision systems integrated with robotic automation for part picking, placement, and inspection. The role includes on-site customer work involving installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of vision-guided robotic systems. The engineer works with multiple camera technologies and robotic platforms, independently and in collaboration with others. Travel and shift-based work are required.

Requirements

• Experience with vision-guided robotic applications, including part picking, placement, and inspection.
• Proficiency working with Fanuc robots and associated vision integration.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering and customer teams.
• Strong communication skills and professional customer engagement.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Availability for shift-based work.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• AIA (Automated Imaging Association) certification.
• Knowledge of Fusion 360 for mechanical modeling or layout.
• Familiarity with PLC controls and automation system integration.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support vision-guided robotic systems for part handling and inspection applications.
• Set up and maintain machine vision capabilities using Keyence, Photoneo, and Matrox camera systems.
• Integrate vision systems with Fanuc robotic platforms to ensure accurate calibration and reliable performance.
• Support system installation, testing, and validation at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve vision hardware, software, and robotic integration issues.
• Collaborate with team members and customers to support successful system deployment and operation.
• Maintain professional communication and presence during on-site customer support.
• Comply with shift schedules and travel requirements.
• Perform additional duties within the area of expertise as assigned.
